Over the last few years, the Midwest United FC Future Stars program has provided an excellent opportunity for young soccer players from around West Michigan to experience the advantages of our club.
The Midwest United FC Future Stars is geared toward boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 7, with priority placed on the advancement of individual technical skills and a passion for the game.
The program offers young players the chance to work with licensed, professional Midwest United FC staff coaches in a creative and fun learning environment. Players will have the opportunity to attend Midwest United FC technical training as well.
All Midwest United FC teams will begin their journey at the Select playing level competing in Grand Valley Soccer Association (GVSA). Our Select program runs throughout the club from U7-U19 and is positioned as a stepping-stone for players who wish to progress to the next level. Games are played locally in and around the West Michigan area.
Select seasons consist of twice-weekly training and an 8 game season in the fall and spring, 15 weeks of winter training, summer and winter sports performance training, goalkeeper training, All- club summer camp and Friday night technical training.

The National Conference Leauge (NLC) is the highest standard of competitive play for youth teams in US Youth Soccer Region II (the Midwest Region). NLC league play begins at U14 through qualifying from the Director's Academy leagues. NLC is divided 13 conferences with three tiers: NLC Premier, NLC Premier 2, and NLC color divisions, with a promotion and relegation system between the divisions. These leagues consist of 7-9 games against other top teams in our Midwest Region. Most games are played at neutral locations over 2-3 weekends to help accommodate travel throughout the region.
The USYS National League is the elite level of youth soccer for boys and girls aged U14-U19. Teams gain qualification to this league and “Earn Their Place” by winning their MRL Premier Division or winning at the Regional Championships. The league consists of a select amount (2-4) teams from each of the 4 Regions in the country and gives the top 16 teams in the nation the ability to compete against other top teams. 3-4 games per weekend are played throughout the winter in North Carolina, Disney, and Las Vegas with the top 2 teams in the league qualifying for an automatic birth to the National Championships in the summer. The National League is the elite level of college showcases and is highly attended by the country’s top colleges.
The Development Academy Program focuses on positively impacting everyday club environments to assist in maximizing youth player development across the country. The Academy values individual development of elite players over winning trophies and titles. The Academy sets the standard for elite environments for youth soccer clubs nationwide and is a part of U.S. Soccer's global leadership position in youth soccer that will impact thousands of players.
